About Good Vices

After multiple incidents in my life that made me feel unsafe in the world as a girl, I found myself wanting to carry something to feel protected.

I was angered too because of dialogue that suggested i should dress more “quietly” so as not to “ask for it.” From a young age, I had always loved expressing myself through fashion and the idea of this felt to me like my voice was being silenced, and that i would have to hide away my femininity simply to feel safe as a girl.

What I wanted was something that did not feel so intimidating for me to carry, and if it could be beautiful too, I would carry it with joy instead of fear.

What began as a curiosity for pretty daggers grew into Good Vices, my fascination with danger, beauty, and defiant femininity.
